Reminders catch the shift you forgot to start or end. They only ask; nothing starts or ends a shift on its own. Find them under Account → Reminders. They’re on Android for now.
Reminders at home
When on, the app asks You left home. Start shift? as you drive away, and Arrived home. End shift? when you get back.
- Open Account → Reminders and turn on Shift reminders at home.
- Read Remind you at home? and tap Turn on. Do this while you’re at home: where you are becomes home.
- Allow Physical activity, and set location to Allow all the time if asked.
Home is kept only on your phone. To change it, tap Home location, then choose Use where I am now, type an address, or drag the pin on the map, and tap Save as home.
Ask when the phone hasn’t moved
If a shift is running and your phone hasn’t moved for a while, the app asks, for example, No movement for 30 minutes. End shift? It’s on unless you turn it off.
- Open Account → Reminders. Ask when the phone hasn’t moved is on.
- Tap Ask after to choose 15, 30 or 45 minutes, 1 hour, 90 minutes or 2 hours. It starts at 30 minutes.
Moving restarts the count. Answering Keep shift means it won’t ask again until the phone has moved and then stayed still for the full time again. The prompt can be a few minutes late, because Android holds back background timers to save battery.
Answering a reminder
Each reminder appears as a card on top of whatever is on screen, with a notification as a backup.
- Tap End shift or Start shift to do it. The app runs the same checks as the buttons, so it won’t end a shift during a ride.
- Tap Not now or Keep shift to dismiss it.
- If your phone was in your pocket, the card comes back when you next unlock the phone, until you answer it.
